About Us

Creator of the Drill-Powered Pulley Category

AWAH is an acronym for Artisans Working At Heights — a professional brand dedicated to high-altitude safety equipment. Our manufacturing base is in Dongguan, China, and our operation center is based in Changsha, China.

We never design behind a desk. Every idea comes straight from rope access work sites. Each product starts with real pain points of frontline workers and ends with tools that deliver practical solutions.

As the pioneer of drill-driven pulley systems, we are the world's first manufacturer to integrate rope descenders with power drills. No special batteries, no heavy motors — just a standard drill paired with an AWAH pulley.

AWAH factory

A world where working at height moves beyond life-or-death risk to become a craft worthy of reverence.

We envision every rope access technician, arborist, and rescue worker returning home safely — equipped with tools that never compromise on reliability.

To build the most trusted vertical access tools on the planet — designed by artisans, for artisans.

Every product we ship carries the weight of a simple promise: it must work when everything is on the line.

The Road We Walked

2003–2014

The Edge We Walked

For over ten years, we worked at height with little more than basic harnesses and blind courage. In 2014, a life-threatening fall tore that acceptance apart.

July 2014

The Fall That Changed Everything

Survival didn't feel like luck — it felt like a second chance. We discovered vertical rope techniques used by cavers and rescue professionals.

2016

A Community of Survivors

We gathered craftsmen who refused to wait for the next accident. Together, we formed AWAH — a community forged in memory.

2022–2023

From Scars to Engineered Gears

We took every lesson carved into our bodies and embedded them into tools. We registered the AWAH trademark and released our first engineered solution — the Z2 twin pulley.

2024 & Beyond

Our Mission, Your Call
